Passing the following courses, in addition to earning the WCCA certificate, is required to earn the California Workers Compensation Claims
Professional (WCCP) designation:
- CA 16B–Permanent Disability and AMA Advanced
- CA 17–Labor Law and Current Case Law
- CA 20–Advanced Issues in Workers Compensation
NOTE: For students who attended and passed CA13 in prior years, CA 16A may be taken in place of CA16B to earn the WCCP designation.
Program Options: The WCCP courses are available in an online self–study format.

Course Sequence: You must complete the California Workers Compensation Claims Administration (WCCA) certificate program before starting the WCCP designation program.
Mandatory CE is no longer required to maintain the WCCP designation.
The California Workers Compensation Claims Professional (WCCP) designation program consists of three courses. The program is designed to assist in
producing qualified personnel for the claims industry. The program was developed for workers compensation specialists employed by insurance
companies, self-insured organizations, third-party administrators, and others who can benefit from a comprehensive course of study on workers
compensation procedures and practices.
